Welcome everyone and thank you for taking your time to read my thread on streaming app for older computers. I know not many will agree with my result but it will help some with mystery problems that some may have been looking. I looked into the steaming app that twitch recommends to us as well as some that are hidden from people. The hidden stream app offer little to no use, some are pay to use but not good as the free streaming app. I will start with open broadcast software the on to, x-split (both), wire cast (auto lost), lastly evolve.
Everyone on he Internet says that open broadcast software is the best because it has so many things that many people can change but that's not always true. First OBS has no walk through like x-split and it has no auto detect like Evolve( and x-split). OBS is a manual streaming app that request many
updated systems for the computer or else it would not work. It does not help new people with scenes, resolution, and system problem OBS just leaves them to question Google a lot. So my recommendation on this app would be for the expert steamers with powerful/new computers.
Next is x-split (both) and I did try both problems and there was a huge mess on it. This could be my fault but if anyone's computer seems like its going to die then don't use x-split (both). The app will change the computer settings without your o.k which might harm the computer in some shape or form. X-split (both) has many limits such as the 3 min wait on streaming, full 60 sec delay on streaming live, 25 FPS limit, and all the good stuff are pay to use. There are also problems with the quality, many people think x-slit is limiting quality as well just so they ca make money from it. I try to contact people for help on x-split forums but he funny things happen, its also limit by mods and it took 1 day to get a reply more then Evolve and
Viz board thread combine. I Would suggest not to use x-split they are not good as they seem or are willing to not get the best stream for everyone.
wire-cast is a no go you are better off buying x-split full price then the $500 dollar price tag. It has a good community (guessing because they pay), offers many other streaming websites then any other app, lastly it has many advantage then other app. Its all good but that $500 dollar is what made it auto lose for many gamers. I say buy it if you are super rich and don't like poor gamers like us?
lastly the final app is Evolve, the only beta app that offers many things from x-split but better. I will start off by saying that Evolve is the only one that is close to its people because they will respond to them even keeping them
updated on major news. Its just like Vizzed Board they need money from the community to stay alive and they work hard on evolve app as well. There are problems that seems to keep some players away such as the sever overloading (only donates and subscr
iption people can enter) ?people that never donate or pay are left out until the sever is not full. Another problem is that it does not offer a resolution box for browser games it only has auto detect on games. Lastly its not good quality but it could just be me not knowing how to use things, I would say use this for older computers (it works fine on mine) but don't use it on windows xp.
that's all the app info you need to know before anyone downloads one or wants a better streaming app. I want to end this with some little known facts on twitch for people who think its broken. First twitch has a delay streaming showcase so this effects chatting with people a lot. YouTube has brought twitch and we will see what happens to twitch has YouTube might change it. Lastly twitch ads are evil, they offer too many bad video games that kids might be watching (live?
). Thank you for reading this very long thread and pick the right streaming app for your computer.
