Hello everyone! I was just on Youtube and a commercial came up about a petition that Hotels.com is sponsoring. It's about getting United States a vacation period throughout their job and it's amazing how much other countries have vacation days in their country, so if you want to join this movement or petition just watch the Youtube video associated with the petition and join the petition if you want to by a link in the beginning of the video, or a link in the description of the video on Youtube. Hopefully it is not a scam like some people say on the comments just because of who is sponsoring it, but I think it is real. You can read the comments for the video if that help you decide. I read the comments and some people say that other people are just whiners, while other people are whining about why they do not support the cause. It is interesting to read the comments to the Youtube video. It is called "VACATION EQUALITY PROJECT - It's time for change" and again Hotels.com is sponsoring the petition, so I don't know if it sends up red flags for you, but tell me what you think about the video after watching it and you can post if you joined the petition or not, and you can also say your reasons to joining or not joining the petition if you want to. The petition ends August 15th, so just in case you want to know when it ends. Thank you for your time!

I just signed it, but I do not know if we are going to get it in time. At the time of me verifying my e - mail address for my signature to count, they still need 94,572 more to reach their goal of 100,000 by August 15th. I just hope we get it, because this would be a good thing for Americans.

thing1 : I agree with you, it would be a good thing for Americans. People need a break from work to recuperate from it all to be more loving of their work because I think people get tired of doing the same thing every day, but if they had vacation, they could come to work with new invigoration and excitement.
Thank you for signing the petition thing1!

Yeah, no problem. I mainly signed because I agree with this one. I am surprised I have not heard of it before, though.

Let me summon some people who might be interested in signing this.

No way. It already takes us 2 years to build a damn bridge. More vacation time is the last thing that we need.

thing1 : Thank you for summoning people! Maybe I should start summoning random people (people I'm not friended to) myself to see how they feel about it too (I don't know).

tgags123 : I'm thinking that you might want some kinds of workers to have vacations and then other workers, like construction workers to not have vacation. Is that the correct thing I'm thinking?

happiness7 : No. Everyone is entitled to the sick days and vacation days that their company allows them to take. There sjould absolutely not be any mandatory vacation days set by the government, though. It is unnecessary and make everything go at snail pace.

tgags123 : Okay . I was probably being close-minded to the subject. I was just thinking who wouldn't want to have a vacation guaranteed by their work?

thing1:The petition had 17108 signees. Not even one fourth the way to 100000 signatures. That sucks ! But thank you for everyone who participated in signing the petition. The clock had ended, but then the clock restarted itself to 24 hours more, so I don't know what is happening there, but maybe people can still sign the petition until the 24 hours more is up.

Local Mods:Can you close this thread? Or you can close this thread. The allotted time for the petition had ended. Thank you!
