hey im only new on here

I had the game for a couple of months working fine then it just started flicking of.
it got to the stage where it just will not launch!
I unintalled it and reinstalled and still no good.
i downloaded that file from here that you extract and all and when i click on that icon the screen goes black as if it is going to load but flicks of again.
any ideas at all?

Does your PC meet the minimum system requirements listed on the box?
You can check your PC specifications by left clicking the start menu, right clicking "My Computer" (or "Computer" if you use Vista) and left clicking "Properties" from the box that popped up.

Have you done whatever PC updates you might need, ie windows updates, video card updates, etc?

That's about all I can say right now, someone who knows more about the game should come along soon.

yea it meets the requirements it played perfect for about 3 months. i have carried out all the updates for windows and the graphics card.
im really don't know what it is. would the disc itself be faulty?
it comes up to install but and it shows the disc to click on but nothing happens?

Hmm. I'm sorry but thats about all I know as I havnt even looked at the Sims games, just some generic hints to mention.
If the game used to play fine then it could either be the disk or a bad update somewhere, it happens.
I updated graphics drivers one time and couldnt play games I was able to before.
