Hey guys! To make this thread a little bit clear I'm a song writer and band leader. Right now I'm working on an album and I'm trying to find some things that fit. I'm gonna start posting some song ideas and lyrics in this thread so feel free to tell me what whatever I've written sounds like. For the first one I wrote this song a while back and discovered a lot of people liked it so here it is for all you guys!

I'm surprised you got no feedback yet. Usually posts here are pretty quick to be responded to.

Personally, I love poetry (and music is a form of that, right?).  However, this does seem to be a bit short for a song, right?  I'm not in the habit of writing songs, so I don't know for sure, but I think it might be. Have you tried putting it to music?


Otherwise, I think this is pretty amazing. I think the lyrics are really strong, and the phrase "mister misunderstood" is very catchy. It's a nice use of alliteration and would make the song memorable, I think.

Is the song written about someone you know?  It seems too specific to not be.

Singelli : Yeah it's a slower paced song. Plus the instrumental stuff that's in it, it's about three and a half minutes long.

As for who it's about, I have a friend who has mental health problems. A few of the things in it are about things that have happened to him specifically. He has a lot of physical problems too and the doctors said he wouldn't live very long at all. I do believe he just had his twenty second birthday. The second and fourth verses are about how frustrating it must be to have some of the problems like he does. In other words things that aren't right that should be that he can't do anything about.
