Have been listening to a ton of new pop music, and what I don't understand is why all of these new songs are all about sex...?
I'm someone who likes this music, but when you really dig down into the lyrics, it's really not something that is really enjoyable for me to listen to.

Yeah, I don't get it either. 90% of the songs that you hear on the radio are about sex. I'm pretty sure there are other things in the world to write songs about. It just makes it a little bit uncomfortable when I am in the car with my mom and my brother and "Undressed" by Kim Cesarion comes on the radio...

I don't like to listen to popular music at ALL for this very reason.  The only reason I ever tend to know about these songs is because my students listen to them all the time.  In fact, I was just joking with myself the other day (don't judge!) that I won't be in the up-and-up about the most popular songs any more since I'm not teaching.

I really don't view that as a loss, though.

Personally, I think it's sickening. Society has made 'sex' such a casual topic that hardly anybody even blinks at it anymore.  When will society get tired of it?  Probably never.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't mind it all that much , but that's just singles and an old ancient Chinese saying was "sex sells" if you actually listened to the albums of these artists, you'll find gems, never judge a book by it's cover, as I always say.
