I want to buy my friend a gift. We had a row and I want to make up with them. What things should i buy?

I am a bit lost, I thought flowers, but i would only give those to my mom. I though chocolate but she is into health.

I thought cinema tickets but she would rip them up she is so mad at me.

This would depend, what is your budget? What kind of things does she like?

Honestly speaking if your friend is still upset with you I don't think they would accept any gift from you at the time. Maybe wait until you can patch things up with her. Just from my perspective I would chuck whatever it is they give me if I was that mad at someone. But take that with a grain of salt because I can be pretty spiteful. Good luck with your friend however, I'm sure you'll figure this all out!

Well, you can always buy there friendship lololol

Or... You can buy a nice birthday card or teddy bear. If you know what she likes and is in your budget, buy it

Oh, I don't know. I think flowers are pretty nice to give as an apology present. Unless she's not into those.

Maybe music could help. Do you have a song or a band or artist that you guys often listen to? You could put some on your phone and let it play through speaker when you two are alone in a room or something similar. That way, she would probably be more likely to listen and talk to you about whatever it is you guys had a fight about.

There's just something special about using music that's been shared by two people as an attention grabber. It's like a special thing between you two, you know?

Well I don't think I've ever heard a 13 year old use the phrase "had a row"..... lol!

As for a gift though, it would really depend on who the person is. I know some people would like something to be bought, but I personally prefer hand-made gifts.  I'm not sure anyone can really give you a good answer without knowing your friend themselves.  I think the best advice we can give is just to consider things that are really important to her. For example, since she's into health, maybe you can get her some healthy cooking kit?  (I don't know anything about health food, but I'm thinking about this cookie mix my little sister once bought me which was supposed to be "healthy".  It wasn't cheap or easy to find though.)

Then again, if she's so mad that she would rip up cinema tickets, any other gift might not be a good idea.  You might just need to give it time.

Never buy a female a present if you're apologizing to them.  She will be over the situation quickly enough if she's your friend and you'll have spent money on something you didn't need to spend money on.  Also, you'll set the precedence of her expecting presents when you two fight.  Maybe next time she picks a fight to get upset with you so you get her something.

The best advice I ever gave (according to my wife's younger brother) was to do exactly the opposite of what you're talking about.

What you do is this:

1.  Apologize.  Tell her you're sorry.  Tell her why you did what you did.

2.  Acknowledge that it hurt her.  Tell her you understand she's upset.

3.  Tell her you won't continue with whatever you did (depending on what happen)

4.  Start not doing whatever made her upset.  You promised her to be nicer or whatever.  Follow up on it and be nicer or whatever.

it really depends on what happened.  Say you'll knock it off.

Don't actually go out and get her anything.  If you two are friends, she won't need a present.  She'll accept a sincere apology.  That means more than just plunking down some money and saying, "Okay, I'm buying you back."

It's bad form.

I would say there are not "rules" for this.

I think you shouldn't focus of the present too much, you are not trying to bribe her, it's just a little symbol of wanting to make up. What is most important is what you say, and then how you act on that later. Like so many have said, just find something that is well suited for her personality, maybe a gift related to an inside joke you two shared; no need to spend a lot of money.

I agree with light knight, the present is just there to show you're willing to make a sacrifice (money) to patch things up,  personally if she's mad, give her some space for a while, then apologise and try to make things work, the gift comes last.
