that makes me absolutely sick there is no reason for that those are the men who are supposed to protect us make us feel safe but there nothing but a bunch of bullies i hope they rot in hell for what they did to that poor man

I live in NYC.

I have lived in NYC my entire 44 years.

There are around 35,000 Police officers in NYC. 

When you play the odds, there are going to be a few jerks in the mix. 

Just like in any group of a large number.

So, yes, there will always be someone to f things up and take all the attention away from the good ones. 

The media LOVES to blast cops. It sells papers. It gets people to watch their networks.

I have met cops who are the salt of the earth, would give you their last penny, last breath, and I have met cops who are complete jerks, unprofessional, morons. 

I have met the same with teachers, firemen, utility workers, doctors, letter carriers, cabin stewards, atom splitters, and (insert career here).

Except, they don't increase TV ratings or give Al Sharpton (Tawana Brawley, Al...) attention when they act irresponsibly, unprofessionally or illegally. 

So, remember. When dealing with large numbers of people, there's going to be meatheads in the mix somewhere. Not everyone is bad because they're Blue. 

Because that'd be stereotyping people, wouldn't it? You don't want to be stereotyped because you're (fill in the blank), do you?

It's really sad but I'm not really surprised with police brutality, my uncle was beaten to death a couple of years ago and my grand mother is suing them. She's currently winning but the police had the nerve to give her a certain amount of money to shut her up and they are already in deep water with the press. Good thing she said "no, we are still going to battle this in court." I don't like the police at all based on my experience and my moms ex boy friend was a cop who sort of agrees with the force used when the police do beat people. He and a lot of other people use the law to justify their acts and it sickens me. Last time I checked the law protected people, not kill them. We live in a society where people will use force and violence to get to where they want, they really need to learn how not to resort to that.

POLICE BRUTALITY: I had had this too many times to count when I was a 15-18 yrs old.

Cops like to harass you.

They do this because they're bored.

xxxbluewolf : I'm very sorry for your loss. It warms my heart that your grandmother decided to turn down the money and go for justice instead. Good luck with the court case, I hope you win and whoever was involved gets the appropriate punishment just like anyone else in society would.

Thank you, and he was a great man and even though he made mistakes he always placed his family first. It's been a couple of months now and it's sad that they are resorting to throw eggs and other food at my grandmothers house. Some of the police are mad at her due to the fact that all of them will be getting a slight decrease with their pay after this court case is won. The chicago police are nothing but slime balls.

xxxbluewolf : Tell your grandmother to get a gun for the next time they try to pull that stuff. It won't be all fun and games for the cops after that.

She told on the cops and the ones at fault were suspended until further notice, I wish they were fired after pulling a stunt like that. But I guess that the debuty look after their own I suppose.
