Personally I like both of them although arcanine is my favorite by far, It has been my favorite pokemon since the gold silver and crystal generation (they were the first games I played). I ended up sweeping the entire elite four in crystal with a level 68 arcanine (he was level 68 when I started on the elite four, but 73 when I started) I used only arcanine. Then later I had him up to 89 and mopped the floor with red! Those were the days.....ummmmm...simply because I can: base stat time!
All stats are with a neutral nature at level 100.

Speed: 289

Definitely Arcanine. He looks cooler, is more ferocious, and is the best in terms of stats. Rapidash is pretty cool, but I'll have to go with Arcanine.
