Every person you have ever met, and even some people that you haven't met, have influenced your life in some way or another. But of all the people in the world, who has influenced you the most?
For me it is my dad. He has influenced my work ethic, my manners, my social skills, and how I look at the world. Almost everything about me has been influenced by him, from my favorite sports teams to my political views. Only a little for the political views though, since he hasn't really talked about politics much until he found out that they interest me. And by that point I had already developed most of my own opinions.
Anyway, who has influenced you the most?

For me, I would have to say Gordon Korman. He is my favorite author of all time and I have been reading his books since the 6th grade. He is the one who inspidered me to write and a few years ago I had a chance to meet him at the Brooklyn Book Festival and I was able to get advice and such from him.

I want to say my parents, but I don't really consider it influencing. Maybe counter-influence?

My parents are very prejudiced, racist, judgmental, and most of the time unreasonable. They're not bad people; they don't discriminate and they try their best to tolerate. So in a way, my parents' bad traits influenced me to try and not be like the first few traits I described.

My dad influenced me the most. He influenced me to have the sense of humor I do, play Pac-Man, and other things that I can't remember.

Family wise my mom influenced me the most. She used to work home and was always there for us. Now it's different, my mom works outside home and my dad is searching for a new job at the moment and is home the whole day.

Other people who have influenced me? Em, I had problems with my feet (not major, only a minor problem) and there was an old lady who helped me to learn a lot of things about feet. For example, because people wear shoes your feet stand differently than they should be, you need to walk different, something that I do somewhat more know. My feet also got a lot stronger and faster thanks to her.

I'd have to say my brother. Even though he's 9 years older than I I've had these deep, philosophical conversations with him ever since I was a teen. If not for those I probably wouldn't have had anyone else to broaden my perspectives with in my teen angst years! Also he still shares many hobbies with me like video games and anime, and I probably got into both of them through him. Video games wise I can thank my entire family since my mom was and dad is still a big gaming nerd! My tech nerdiness definitely comes from my dad!

That'd be my dad. I share most of his personality, share lots of his opinions, and we generally have similar attitudes.

Probably my father. I looked up to him a lot growing up, and I also tried to follow in his footsteps when it came to a career. That didn't work out, but still.

Person who influenced me the most is probably leggy. even though he doesn't know

Leggy has influenced me in many ways, one of them is posting. Once he said "say what needs to be said, and leave it at that" that is probably the thing that influenced me the most as far as posting goes.

In life, I would have to say my sister, SUX2BU. She keeps out of trouble, and is good at making decisions. She also influenced me in a way about baking! Shes going to teach me how to make peanut butter bars next. :3

This is pretty interesting. I actually expected this thread to be full of historical names and celebrities... and I thought I was going to be the only one to be weird. XD

I have to say my mother influenced me the most, for sure.  Although I loved both of my parents dearly, as I age, I realize more and more every day... that I am my mother's child.  We have the same tastes in most things, we can talk about anything, and I have most of her habits. Nearly any characteristic of mine.... I have learned from my mother.  For example, I don't like any length to my nails, I take way too many photos and love them, I'm a bit crazy when it comes to cleanliness, and amazingly..... we ended up buying the EXACT same purse last year without even knowing it.  My relationship with my mother wasn't always so great and she used to be quite a different person.  I love what our relationship has become and I find it interesting that she has changed at the same time I have changed... and in the same ways. I don't know how or when it happened.... but somehow it has and I can't regret it one bit.

I also have to say that my husband has had a huge influence on my life.  He's the one that led me to a saving relationship with Christ. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for that spiritual connection I have.

I don't have one person who's influenced me the most, but rather two.

The first is my mom, who carried me for nine months, and then proceeded to raise me for nineteen years, before I moved out last year. She has taught me what forgiveness is like, even after my parents split due to infidelity between them(on my dad's side), what love is, and what it means to be a daughter. She's supported me in almost everything I've done, and is the one who taught me how to cook(a passion of mine). She's my best friend.

The second person is someone who's actually only been in my life since last August, and yet has impacted me in a major way. She's was my Revival Pastor last year, and is now a mother-figure and a mentor to me. Her name is Kim, and she's amazing, haha. She was the first person to hear my story, outside of my family, and help me heal through a lot of things that had happened in the past. She's supported me in all of my dreams and passions, and encouraged me to follow my heart in new ways. Even more than that, she's also been my Spiritual Mother for the last year, and it was something that just happened so naturally. While my mom taught me a lot of things and was there for me in so many ways, Kim opened me up to a lot of things I hadn't thought of before. She pushed me, as a mother would, and accepted me for who I was. My mom might have taught me what love was, but she taught me what unconditional love is.
