Adding my former TA on social networking websites-cool or no?

So today was the last day of class and a few days ago, I found my TA on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram because I had her email address in my phone, just in case I would ever need it during the semester for class-related purposes, and I hit the ''Find My Contacts'' areas on those social networking sites, out of curiosity for people I've met recently.

Now that I just officially got out of that class, would it honestly be okay for me to tap those Follow buttons and that Add Friend button? I'm asking because even though I am done for good there, we're still in the same school, so yea, acceptable or no?

She's young too and a recent graduate from my school. I doubt I'll ever be taking a class in the same department again.

I don’t think it would be a problem. I dropped out of school and reconnected with a teacher who I had both in elementary and high school many years later via social media. I will be honest I wasn’t expecting to hear from a teacher from my past as I was well into my late 20’s at the time, but was surprised when my teacher reached out to me after so long. Although I wasn’t expecting it, it was nice to hear from my teacher after several years. 

 

Even though I don’t think it would be a problem I would double check to see if there are any rules that the school might have seeing as you’re still a student.

I don't see a problem with it. I know in my school (highschool, not college) they get upset with the teachers and staff if they interact with their students on social media. I don't think it would be a problem in college, though.
