After playing Thief Gold and having fun in that sneaking and stealing, I wondered if any of you might have played it.
I will also ask a question so we could start a talk here:
1- What is the most useful item in your opinion?
2- Do you kill evey guard you come across with?
My answers:
1- The most useful item for me is fire arrow, not only because it deals heavy damage to the enemies, but it also goes on a straight line (at least in Thief 1 which is the only I played) so I can hit enemies afar.
2- Yes, I kill absolutely every guard I come across, sure I can knock them out using blackjack but the feeling that they get awake after sometime isn't really pleasent for me so I save myself the trouble and carry the corpse to a place that no one will find it, drop him then kill him.
So...is there anyone like me?

I used to watch my dad play thief gold and thief 2 quite a bit when I was little.  Now I play it on steam every once in awhile.

To answer your questions:

1. The most useful item for me is probably the water arrow as I prefer to avoid conflicts.

2. As I said in the previous answer, I prefer to avoid conflicts and I usually just blackjack any threats I come across.  However, I will use the sword if I have no other choice.

I watched my brother play the new one and my dad play thief gold when I was around 5. 1.I have to say the arrows as they seem to be easier to use. At least for me.
2. I only knock out/kill guards who I have a hard time trying to deal with. I try not to kill the guards but sometimes there is no other option so I just kill them. If I do kill them then I just leave them lying on the ground which is probably a bad idea but it hasn't failed me yet so I will continue doing so.

Heh, so you two are technically better than me and I feel like more like a savage/coward thief.....should have played "Fighter" instead (that game doesn't exist, however I'm actually referring to King's Field).

I just don't know how to use some of the items properly, like the moss arrow, or when should I use the noise arrow.
