Some of the Late Night Crew streams would be a lot less interesting, I'll give you that. I've never played Smash, though I'd like to at some point, so for me personally, not much would be affected. 

I really would probably watch the LNC streams less often, though. Their Smash tourney times are always hilarious because Cry usually gets so salty when he loses. Which is often. I'm not much for Battlefield or the like and they stream those quite often along with Smash -- yes in the same stream -- so I'd probably stop watching a good portion. Might mean I miss some funny commentary, but eh.

Like what Gamin' said. Lots of people (myself included) would have never known about games like Earthbound, Pikmin, Kid Icarus, and smaller games like that. Plus Kid Icarus Uprising is one of the best games for the 3DS! I can't imagine life without having experienced it.

But without it, competitive players would have nothing to do aside from organized rock paper scissors matches. And I would have never actually enjoyed a fighting game as of yet.

I mean don't get me wrong, Mario kart 8 is good, but I believe the WII-U's big money makers are Super mario Maker and SSB.


And without it I wouldn't have known a lot of franchises. Wouldn't have known about captain falcon and f-zero, wouldn't have known about pit, wouldn't know about fire emblem, and I wouldn't even know about DR Mario.

If Super Smash Bros. never existed I probably wouldn't be as close with one of my friends as I am right now. I always went to her place after school to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl on her Wii with her and her little brother.

I know if it didn't exist, I would not have been looking all over the place for those amiibos. I do enjoy collecting them, but seriously, I spent an enormous time trying to find them without buying them on eBay for the substantial price increases. I still need Villager, Robin, and Lucina.

As for the game itself it always has been a great game to play with friends and those were good times that I am glad I had.

As what other's have said, if Smash Bros didn't exist I probably wouldn't have known / tried the other games. I tried playing Ice Climbers and Kid Icarus and enjoyed playing both. 

If Smash Bros didn't exist I probably would have just continuing playing Tekken, and probably get into Street Fighter much quicker.

I would be extremely sad (or would I, since I'd never know the difference?). I would've missed out on over a thousand hours of quality time playing with friends in multiplayer, which would also be sad. I'd probably suck a lot more at fighting games, since that was the one I honed most my skills with. And Nintendo would be (slightly) less of the giant it is today. I guess I could live without it, but that's never a choice I would make willingly

My life would barely be any different if Super Smash Bros. never existed. I really like Super Smash Bros. but I don't play it often. I got Super Smash Bros. for my 3DS and I've only played it once in a while, but when I do play it I'm enjoying it. If I had to give up Super Smash Bros. I'd be OK with it though.

I probably spent over 1200-1500 hours playing Smash between the first 3 titles, and most of that was multi-player with friends. We would sit up all night long trying to beat the snot out of each other, finding different ways to handicap ourselves or put interesting rules on how we would go about the fights. Those were the good ol' days for sure. If it had never existed, me and my friends probably would've just found something else entertaining to play. It's not like Smash was the only option out there to play, ya know? Maybe I / we would've played outside, or done something productive like read a book
