Hi, I just got a new computer and recently updated it to Windows 8.1. I've heard that people with Windows 8.1 are having difficulty with the plug in, but from what I know, that's only that the plug in wasn't found. I cant even install it. It comes up with two separate errors (screen shot provided)and I've tried everything from re-downloading to installing VC++ again. Nothing works. Help?

vanelan : I never use the Metro for installing things. I only use the desktop. I'm assuming its because its not compatible with 8.1 and in need of an update. But who knows. :/

I run the plugin fine using Win 8.1

A quick google search regarding installing programs in windows 8 show similar issues with 2502/3 errors with all sorts of different problems. Most of them revolve around running the installer as administrator or messing with the task manager.

I'm not sure what might be causing that issue for you since I had to do nothing special to install the plugin on my Win8 computer.

Jordanv78 : Thank you for responding, but this didn't help. At all. I searched for the .msi and couldn't find it. I also restarted Explorer.exe with Admin Privileges and it didn't work. I will look for a solution, but would greatly appreciate it if you kept the solutions coming. That way, if something else comes up, I know where to go to find the solution.
