So, I'm curious as to how big the Monster Hunter fanbase is, here on Vizzed.

Which is your favorite Monster Hunter game?
What's your favorite/hated Monster?
What's your preferred Weapon class?
Which Monster is most difficult for you to fight?
What's your style of play? Defensive? Offensive? Something in between?

My favorite Monster Hunter game is MH3U. I started with MH3 on the Wii, then finally got MH3U when I had the chance.
My favorite monster to hunt is the Brachydios, because of his theme music, and the fact that he's unique among the monsters.
I absolutely HATE hunting Diablos/Black Diablos. They hit hard, have a lot of health, and are fast.
My Preferred weapon(s) are Long Sword, Hammer, and more recently, Switch-axe. I'm capable of completing quests with any weapon, except for the Bowguns and Bows. I'm not good at Ranged weapons, for the most part.
My Most difficult monster to fight is probably Jhen Mohran... But then again, It's harder to Solo him in High Rank online than it would be with a party. But besides him, definitely the Diablos family.
I usually try and play very offensively, especially with a Hammer. I go for KOs as much as I can. But, if things start getting rough, I back off a bit to revitalize myself.

chester909 : Oh my gosh, I am so happy to find another fan, I love this series so much.

My favorite game is MHFU. I hate pretty much all the monsters because they're usually so hard for me to beat, especially the Giadrome. I would have to say I like the Popo in a way simply because they are so lazy and barely fight back. My favorite weapon is the Ivory Horn.

Im really sad that most of the future games are on Nintendo consoles and I really hope that Frontier G comes to America.

No problem man, I've just recently posted a thread here about wizardry and it's been 3 days (more or less) and no wizardry player came.

Anyway, glad there are monster hunters here (like 3? including me?), I started with MHF on PSP, but where I really evolved is at MHF 2 on PSP.
I haven't played many monster hunter game to express which one is the best or the worst for me.
My preferred weapon? Well....you can say I'm an all-rounder: Dual-Sword, GreatSword, LongSword, Battle Hammer, Light-crossbow and Bows (so the only ones I didn't like are spears, Spear and cannon, and Heavy-crossbow......and I have yet to try switch-axe).
The most difficult enemy? Probably the Elder Dragon family, there attacks are brutal and have nasty abilities (invisibility? really capcom?).
My style? Hmmm, they're somewhere between the two as I unleash what I have at the monsters dealing as much damage as I can and at the same time back away the instant I predict it'll make an attack.

Extra: I hate upgrades! it just add more strength to the equipment, therefore I never improve my armors. But however in MHF 2, upgrading weapons actually changes the nature of that weapon into something completely different, so that intrigued me to to collect many weapons and find the possibilities, that is probably the best upgrade system I've ever seen.
