I like sonic 3 and knuckles because the graphics were top notch and the stages were the best. 
 
I loved being able to play as knuckles that is why in the original sonic and knuckles I always play as him.

You can play Knuckles in Sonic 2 too. And on the mobile phone version you can play as Knuckles, but I prefer the hack that you can play Knuckles in Sonic 1.
