For some reason. music in retro games seem to be timeless. I just can't help but still love those beeps and boops from the 80's and synthesized instruments from the 90's, and I wasn't even gaming in those eras. Real instruments don't have the same impact and feel as those styles of music (not saying that in a bad way, though ) For example, when I listen to a remixed song in NintendoLand, Super Smash Bros., Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olimpic Games (Sochi 2014) or a more recent game in a franchise, when I listen to the original, I love it just as much or more than the remixed version. Here's a recent example, I listened to the music in Nintendo Land's Takamaru's Ninja Castle, and then listened to the original music. I liked the original just as much as the remixed version.

Anyway, how do you guys (or girls) feel about music in retro games and remixes of them?

Well, it depends on the song for me. There is a retro song that have never been able to stand, that is, the Kid Icarus title screen music. It's just so screechy and horrible. If there was ever a remix of it, I'm sure that I would prefer it, even if it isn't very good, as it would still be better than the original. For most songs, though, I prefer remixed versions because they sound better to listen to, but sometimes you just can't go wrong with a little retro music.

SetoKaiba1025 :

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Some retro songs can age badly for some people. I personally like the Kid Icarus theme song, but I can understand how it can be horrible to another person's ears.
