How does it work? When I try to comment on other people's replies, I click on 'reply to post', and that person's name will already be there in the reply box. Like it should. After I submit my comment, it sometimes works like it should, and the person's name will appear coloured so that person gets a notification, and sometimes, it doesn't work and that person's name will just be regular text.

Am I doing something wrong? Because I swear, I'm not doing anything differently.

My only guess is that even the 'Reply to post' button has a chance of failing.

Now, how I suppose it works is that the system for summoning generates some sort of html code in the post that also gives a notification to the person you're summoning.

I've tried inputting the code myself, to see if I could summon one of my friends aside from doing it the regular way, but it doesn't work. It has to be the post system that generates it. When I did that little experiment, it looked like it worked on the post, but my friend never got the notification for it. I even tried doing it multiple times, but still nothing.

So basically, the system is flawed, but it's the closest perfectly functioning thing that David can currently get it to.

Reporter juuldude here helping with advise! Mistress is right, clicking the 'reply to post' isn't flawless and has a higher chance of failing than just typing the name in your post. I always directly place the names to make sure everything works right.
I don't mind that forceful playing style.
