This is a long post.

Hi, I have to share something I can’t help holding, and I had to think of somewhere to
post such complaining. I’m just doing this because I want to stress the pain of
having to live life somewhere where pickup trucks going at average speed are
yet very loud and annoying, and not just the ones that look big and go fast.

What I hate the most are loud vehicles with loud pipes (motorcycles, pickup trucks,
etc.). There are a lot of pickup trucks and motorcycles where I live, and most
of them are really loud. I don’t know if any of you living outside the southern
states don’t have a lot of loud pickup trucks in your area, but mine does, and
in fact, I hear them 24/7. If your area is just like mine, it looks like as if
pickup trucks are very popular, but it’s only for the people who love to
disturb other people’s quiet. I live in Texas, and if you move further down to Galveston,
you will find roads with scenic views of the beach, along with noisy vehicles
like pickup trucks and motorcyclists (Lots of them). My state is a bad place, and
noise pollution is one reason. I have been talking so much about pickup trucks
and motorcyclists and how noisy they are, but I will just focus on them one at a
time. For motorcyclists, they have very loud motorcycles. One time when I was
walking a guy with a motorcycle (Not a Harley) passed by and it was LOUD. It
was so loud it was to the point it seemed it was going to damage my ears. For
pickup truck drivers, they are also loud as motorcycles and are very annoying
at any decibel. Every time they pass by at any speed it sounds like they’re
carrying something big or heavy but it’s really pulling nothing, even if it’s
real loud. I hear pickup trucks every day, and they get irritating. I don’t
know how anyone could get past these annoying sounds after 3 days or more of
exposure, but I bet the people driving with their loud pipes are having the
time of their lives ruining the quiet. Anyone who lives in a quiet area is
lucky, as I am not so lucky due to living in a subdivision with an entrance connected
to the busy road (That’s the main entrance I am talking about, we live close by
it). There’s a long road behind my house that I think everyone with loud
exhaust pipes like to speed through, and I can say I am right because there are
loud exhaust noises that I would hear at the back of our house. Some loud
vehicles also pass by our front of the house and when they do, it’s quite loud.
I think the reason our place is loud is because most people are working outside
like in oil rigs or in construction areas, and that they need a heavy-duty
pickup truck, but I also think it’s because some are hicks or hunters, and that
they like to buy pickup trucks. Well, I guess I said what I needed to say, that
I hate noise pollution and loud exhaust pipes, but complaining about it doesn’t
change anything. At least I got to say what I needed to say, but I feel bad
that I didn’t report it to the police. Now I really need to solve this problem
on my own. Anyways, that’s all.


EDIT: I REALLY WANT TO THREATEN THESE PEOPLE WHO KEEP DRIVING LOUD.

I hate that as well. I'm trying to sleep, stop driving so loud. I hate it when it's Sunday and the garbage trucks come by and wake me up at like, 6 in the morning. Lol

I, being born and raised in a big city, really enjoy the sound of cars and trucks a like.

They make me feel more at home. During the summer, I really enjoy sleeping in for a

long time to be woken up by the sound of a big car or garbage truck going over a

speed bump. I also enjoy the sound of it accelerating. Although most find it a pet

peeve, it really is just always a nostalgic and relaxing sound to hear. I could not deal with silence well.
