I've noticed that sometimes, the pages on Vizzed will refresh themselves. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. Except for the fact that I'm often playing a game while this happens. Since the page is refreshing, it causes a massive lag-spike that has proved fatal to Mario, Megaman, Sonic, and many other beloved characters.

Does anyone else have this problem, and is there a way to fix it other than closing the window when I start playing (I try to but usually forget)?

What browser and in what computer are you using? On my old 2004 Dell this was a problem, but it used Firefox instead of internet Explorer to play the games. Also, Adobe can some times affect this kind of thing. What level adobe do you have?

That is a pretty old computer, and may not be able to support the loading of the site. If there a time when it does this more then others?

Uhm, I just want to point out that the site is designed to refresh every 15 minutes only when playing a game through the RGR.

So if you're only experiencing this while playing, then it's normal. However, if you experience this while on the boards or any part of the site in which you are not playing a game, then that's not normal at all.

In case it's the former, you could post on this thread to inform David that it's causing problems during your gameplay.

Here is an easy fix!  After loading your game go back to the rgr page and switch to the regular forum or home page of vizzed then it won't refresh and you will have a steady game play!

I noticed when I left the browser on the rgr page of the game I was playing it was refreshing so going to the forums or main home page it no longer refreshed.

I have an older computer as well. My solution to this problem is that I keep the task manager open at all times. When I start a game I click on the task manager tab on the task bar and set the priority of the "plugin-container.exe" using the most CPU process to "High".

This solution eliminates most of my lag problems and allows me to stay on the game page which is necessary sometimes.

Its most likely the ads refreshing.

As LC has suggested, going back to the main pages may fix this since those pages don't have the auto cycling ads like the game pages do.
