A torrent of rain and tears
Run down my face and skin
The pain in my heart sears
My tender innocence
And my happiness

What is this terrible pain?
It's driving me insane
I continue to feel incomplete
So vulnerable
So...mortal

I feel myself sinking into darkness
I feel myself sinking into despair
The hole in my heart increases
The emptiness is abysmal
The hollowness, infinite

It is as if that I lost my soul
To the pain that I felt
I continue to mourn the happiness
That I lost
I mourn the loss of my innocence

My friends journeyed to a new home
My oldest companion, gone
Her life ripped away by a drunken driver
My mother kicked me to the curb
I feel nothing...except hollow

Dreams are supposed to help us escape...
Escape reality and into a fantasy world
Where no harm can be inflicted
That is a foolish thought
Dreams can be harmful to the psyche

We are reminded of pasts
That we do not wish to relive
Why are we tortured by dreams?
Why can't we be left at peace
When we sleep?

There is no such thing as peace
Not in the reality we know now
Peace is nothing unless we make
Peace with our own hands

Until then...

Is this what helplessness
And despair feels like?
Can we escape it?
I want to run and be free...

When I was at Wal-Mart I was sitting on a bench. Then I got up and walked outside. I stayed for 10 minutes. Soon I got lonely. my dad was scared I was lost, And I was scared too. When I got back in the store my dad was glad that I was safe! That is the story how I was lost and found.

fearlessjazp567 : I wish my mom had been worried like that. I had gotten lost as a kid at Six Flags for a couple of minutes. We had been wandering around a little shop and I had turned my back for a couple of minutes. I called for her and I heard her call me but I didn't see her so I wound up wandering the store and then I went outside to sit. I got scared and started back into the shop, crying because I couldn't find her. I finally ran into one of the employers (literally), who took me outside to look at some fireworks to console me until, finally, my sister came to get me, so I wish my mom acted like your dad.
