Who loves writing? I sure do! Even though my PC is a super-duper gaming rig, I mostly use it to write stuff of all sorts - stories, blog posts, reviews... Currently I'm writing a massive original story I plan to post here on Vizzed and on other websites I'm a member of, but I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE NEEEEEEEEEEXT!

Actually, I sorta do - I want to write a review. I have tons of fanfictions and original stories to finish, but I prefer to keep a schedule of Story-Review-Story-Review. The thing is, the next review I post here on Vizzed will be my fifth, so I kinda want to make it a celebration by doing something different than my other write-ups . There are these three games that I really, really love (plus one that sounds awesome on paper but sadly disappointed me), but I can't decide which one I'm going to write about next. Here's some info about each one...

  • Alien Soldier: IMO the best game ever made by my favorite game developer of all time, Treasure. An insanely hard, ultra-fast run-'n-gun/boss rush/one-on-one fighter that really shows what the poor old Genesis - the weakest of the 16-bit consoles hardware-wise - could do under good hands, with graphics on par with Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night and an amazing FM dark-techno soundtrack.

Galaxy Force II: An underrated yet fantastic arcade "rail shooter" from the late 80's made by SEGA. Notable for it's amazing use of faux-3D graphics similar to the SNES' MODE-7, a jazzy soundtrack and the awesome pneumatic/mechanical cabinet it originally ran on.

Space Fantasy Zone: A rather disappointing mash-up of two classic/pre-Genesis SEGA franchises (Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone) almost released for the TurboDuo in 1992. The game's release was cancelled at the last minute, leaving only magazine advertisements and a leaked unfinished version behind. A very interesting game to review and elaborate on nonethless.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - One of the biggest gems of the GBA's library, this brilliant RPG is very newbie-friendly yet deep, combining an elaborate stat and battle system with classic Mario tropes like platforming, simple storylines and teamwork. But it's at the humor and plot where Superstar Saga shines most, putting Mario and Luigi as immigrants in an unfamiliar kingdom much wackier and troubled than their own.

So, which game you guys suggest I review next? Vote on the poll and post on the thread!
