Over the years, boss battles have made their staple in the world of gaming as a way to present a powerful challenge to the player. Some games don't put much time into their boss battles, while other games have unbelievably great ones. What is your favorite boss battle of all time?

My personal favorite boss battle of all time is the battle against Pigsy at the end of Manhunt. It was a genuinely dark and scary final boss to have. He is such a deranged and messed-up character. It was a brilliant, stealth-based battle. He wields a chainsaw, and if he sees you, you're dead meat, and staying hiding in the shadows of the run-down apartment was sheer gameplay genius.
The Metroid Prime series has particularly fantastic boss battles as well.

There are a few that are my favorite. 
I like the battle against one of the hardest Mega Man bosses in the classic series. The battle against Sun Star is very fun. It is a hard battle but it tests your skills to beat him. 

I like the battle against Sigma in both X2 and X3. Both of those battles are very hard. 

I also like the Battle against Captian K Rool in Donkey Kong Country 2. King K Rool is dressed as a pirate and he is using a gun. I like that because well I like guns and it is a fun but challenging battle. 

And the Meta Knight battles in Kirby games. I like them because Meta Knight is not evil but he is challenging. Usually if I can beat him I know I can beat the final boss.
