So I am interested in becoming a camp councilor at the YMCA for summer camp this summer. I emailed in my cover letter and resume because the website either said email or physical mail.

I did so about two weeks ago and no response.
No call for an interview yet?

Should I just POLITELY call them and tell them I'm still interested in the position?
Should I wait any longer or just tell myself (and whoever else I told) that I didn't get the job?

What should be done here honestly?

What you can try to do is make a follow up call. Call them up and ask them if they received your cover letter and resume.

Afterwards, you should wait about a week or two to see if you'll get an interview call. If nothing, then it's most likely that you didn't get it.

Finding a job can be rough. My general rule is to wait one week, then call or drop in to ask about job opportunities, although sometimes you have to take it on a case by case basis. Some places see this as dedication and will see you more positively, other places will find it annoying and become less likely to hire you.

A simple phone call should be safe though, especially if it's already been two weeks. A lot of entry-level jobs take three weeks or less to make hiring decisions.
