That's most likely a ROM error, I think. You should try either closing the game and reopening it (probably won't help), and you probably will have to restart the game. :/ Reset it, that is.

This game is actually a very early version of Pokemon Liquid Crystal (beta 3.3) so it probably has lots of problems. The latest version shouldn't have this problem though.
