This is the thread where you can post the latest thing you've found, regardless of what it is you collect. Photos are strongly encouraged!

Today, on the way home from the auto body shop, I came across a shop that liquidated hotel assets. I had been looking for a new mattress, so I decided to stop in. They didn't have a mattress in the size I wanted, but apparently some hotel was getting rid of some old video games. They were asking far too much for the N64 and Genesis consoles that were there, but their games were reasonably priced, although I only had enough cash on me to buy one game and they didn't take credit cards, so I walked away with this.

It's in pretty good condition, although the instruction manual has seen better days. It's worth just under $12 and I only paid $4, so not a bad find. Due to my crummy finances as of late, it's been the first game I've added to my collection in about a month.

Just today after I went to the movies, I stopped by the card shop in upper Manhattan and bought a new box of 2014 baseball cards. I have not opened them yet, but I do expect that there will be a few good cards.

Aladdin for the Genesis is an awesome game! It is one of my favorite games not only on the Genesis but on any console.

I just added Iron Soldier for the Atari Jaguar and tork prehistoric punk for the Xbox to my collection. Both pretty cheap and fun games. I got them both on Amazon. I really am trying to add more games to both of those consoles, I don't have a very large collection for them and I want more different kinds of games to play on them.

I had just stopped by one of the card shops that are in the area after school and I made a great buy. I bought a box of baseball cards and I was so happy that I was able to pull an autographed card of the person that I am collecting, Matt Harvey. This was just the 2nd auto card that I have ever recieved of his and I think that it has to be worth a lot of money. Just bases on how much base auto cards can go for, I am going to assume that this card could reach as high as 75 dollars or more. The box also came with another 350 something cards. Most of which were of cards that I already own, but still a food box.

My state tax refund came in today! What does that mean? Moar video games, of course!!
Very rarely do I buy new, sealed games, but that copy of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace wouldn't stop staring at me...

I just got Area 51 for the Xbox and brought my Xbox back and got a new one from the store. Area 51 is not very fun, it is a FPS. The next game I will be getting for that console is Toejam and Earl 3. I want that go so bad.

GenesisJunkie : Oh man, Area 51. That game ate many a quarter of mine at the pizza parlor when I was growing up. Great game! I would imagine the Xbox version doesn't have quite the flair of an arcade cabinet version, though.

oooooooh I actually collect strange things.  I hope I can get enough finances to come to this thread many times.  For one, I'd LOVE to increase my old bible collection. I've been itching to buy another old bible for quite some time now.

Otherwise, I recently got Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate, for my 3DS. (Or rather, my husband got it for me). I had owned it previously, but my little sister lost it or it somehow very strangely got missplaced.  Since I love dinosaurs (and the critters look like dinosaurs ), he was sweet enough to re-buy it for me! Aww, yay!

Today I bought the new Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, still had really no time to test it out, but I was planning to test it tomorrow, I really hope it will be a worth of my time and money, because I really like that series. Cant put a picture about it because I'm too lazy.

Awesome find today! All four of those SNES games on the bottom were FIVE DOLLARS at a Goodwill! Score!! You can see the values I attached from the Vizzed Price Guide.

The NES games were in the $5 and under bin at a local game store. Not nearly as rare, but still good games, and each is worth more than I paid for it, even if it's only by a dollar or two.

Also, with this purchase I have finally passed 300 games in my collection.

It's not really part of any collection that I own, but I have my ticket from the Subway Series yesterday at Citi Field. I am going to cherish this ticket because it's very valuable. Not only is it a Subway Series ticket, but it was a field level, expensive ticket with Club access. Not to mention that the game itself was legendary, the Mets starter was their number 2 prospect making his MLB debut, and for the Yankess, Tanaka pitched his first career shutout. Very valuable colection item for me.

Got a couple more today, $1.99 each at Goodwill in Woodburn, Oregon.
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is valued at $15.37, and Darkwatch is valued at $10.10. So I paid $4 for $25 worth of games.
They also had Super Monkey Ball 2 for the Gamecube, which got me pretty excited, but the disc was cracked really bad, so I passed on it.

Also bought an extra Gamecube controller to replace one that died recently. It was $4.99.

I just bought myself a new baseball card that came in today. It's of Jon Niese, starting Pitcher for the New York Mets. Right now this is the most rare card that I own because it has both his autograph and a piece of his jersey. It is also numbered to 25. Aside from the Ramierz card that should come during the next month or 2, I probably wont be getting any more collectibles for a while.

I took my brother shopping on Friday looking for WWE figures, but not really expecting to find anything. Then something caught my eye stored away on the top shelf: the Wrestlemania 14 HBK. I'd only seen it once at a specialty store for $55, so I passed on it. My brother managed to knock two down, we scanned them and for $22, I wasn't passing a second time.

I just picked up a new Sega Dreamcast to replace my old one. I am not sure if it works yet or not (haven't had the chance to hook it up) but it looks alright and I got it for 30 bucks, not too bad.

GenesisJunkie : What did you pay for it? Is it one of the models that can play CD-R games?

I got mine about 2 years ago for $29, came with two controllers, three VMUs, a Sega OEM keyboard (OEM models are apparently somewhat rare), a disc-only copy of Evolution: The World of Sacred Device (fairly uncommon RPG, not a very good one though). It is the model that can play CD-R games, which is nice, however, when I got it, the underside of the lid was covered in sticky stuff that looked like cookie dough, some of it got dangerously close to the laser. Even after cleaning it, the system still has issues sometimes. Some games will freeze up or restart at random, and the disc makes a very loud sound when it spins. Also the internal battery is dead.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
