Godly moments of clarity,
Only in these moments does it make sense,
Occupied, my thoughts race, it's Opening Day,
Demons of the past, no longer haunt me,
Millions of fans cheer, and I am not alone.
Opening Day is my time, my place,
Outside on this day, is where I belong.
Don't matter what the result, it all comes back to me.
Sure as sure can be, not even a loss can dissaude me.
After all, how can one be mad during this time of year?
No regrets, no worries, only happiness,
Drained, I feel when it's all over, when the season is gone.
Virally, everyone is infected once this mood fades.
It's in the best interests of everyone if the season continues,
But, like the proverb says, "Nothing lasts forever."
Every November, the candle goes out, the pumpkin returns.
Soon, however, April, and happiness, will come again.

This is pretty good. I know nothing at all about poetry but I liked it. You seem to be doing a bit of these, is this going to be something you do often? What are some of your influences, or stuff you like?

I don't even like poetry.

It's just the medium that's easiest to write with.
