my favorite final fantasy scene is in final fantasy 9 where Zidane Tribal loses all hope of continuing with his group and continues on by himself, its a sad scene, well to me anyway.

Final Fantasy III NES, and VI Japan (if you prefer the Japanese version).  The whole opera scene is one of the most creative and original pieces of any game I've ever seen.  It was awesome.

Definitely the scene in FFVII where Cloud and friends escape the Shinra Building in style! It was so awesome back in the day and of course Cloud with his motorcycle was the coolest thing I could think of as a kid.

My favorite scene is in Final Fantasy 8 when Squall and Rinoa are sitting in the cockpit of the Ragnarok. I guess I like it because you can tell Squall has changed and he's not such a loner anymore.

Don't know if this is THE favorite scene, but I really liked the scene on Final Fantasy X when Tidus and his companions attacks to Bevelle, and Airship shoots those wires and they skate down to save the day.

And then there is also the opening scene on Final Fantasy X where they play Blitzball on Zanarkand and Sin attacks there and messes everything up.

There are lot of good scenes in every old Final Fantasy but not going to list all my favorites so these two scenes should be enough for now.
