Our story begins in a place called Bragh, which is a city located on Breech Island, in 2194. "Where is Breech Island?", you may ask. It is a relatively big island recently discovered in the Pacific Ocean. Breech Island has only a few cities, with Bragh being the biggest. No country has yet to claim Breech Island, and America, Russia, and Ireland are the major players trying to. In addition, the island has a corrupt government in the making, but no one dares say a thing about the "president".
Ryan O'Connors immigrated to Breech. He had no intentions on fighting for Ireland, or fighting in general. He just thought that he could go to college, set up a business, and have a family there. He was right; he was just a lucky joe shmoe, going about his business. That is, until one particular Monday, on his way to Bragh University. As he walked to school, he witnessed a girl about his age getting mugged in broad daylight.
He couldn't just stand and watch such an injustice! He had to intervene! He initiated a fight with the man by blasting him with a vicious uppercut. The man recovered relatively quickly and stabbed at Ryan. He was able to dodge two or three times before his luck ran out, and he was shanked in the chest with the man's shiv. Everything started getting blurry. The man threatened the woman, "You see what I did to him? That could happen to you, too! Fork over the valuables!" She screeched as he tugged her to the ground.
Ryan suddenly felt a burst of energy. He grabbed the man by the arm, and threw him to the ground. He thudded hard, and there was an intense cracking sound. The robber coughed up blood. Ryan crawled over and kneeled on his chest. He ripped the knife out of his chest and thrust it into the robber's arm, pinning him to the ground. Ryan beat on him for what seemed like ages until he fell unconscious. The girl thanked him as officers and paramedics swarmed the area. Ryan realized how much blood he had actually lost as he passed out. He woke up in a hospital room later that day in intensive care. The doctor said he was, "Lucky he even survived, given how much blood he had lost.". He clenched his fists as he lie hurt on the bed, looking out the bed. "Lucky," He muttered, before deciding he was too exhausted to do anything else and go to bed.
