I have been noticing the rules you put out about not asking for trust points  ,well i see alot of people with tons of it , and i have been cool with people in game chats yet no trust points for me , so people are  breaking the rules and asking for trust points via private message or something , cuz I'm getting none while people i don't even see talk or post have tons , so whats going on there? Am i the only one to notice this or am i the only one smart not breaking rules . ? 

PokeNerdGringo : It all depends on what you do for those trust points, and of course, how long you have been here. Most users have been here for a long time, as in more than a year, and have done things that make it so they get trust points. Not just posting, but the quality of the posts, helping others and answering questions, and being nice. It doesn't just happen right away.

 Oh I help people in game when they have question , this is just something to look at man , people do in fact ask intentionally for (TP) i believe . I haven't seen anyone ask but I guarantee they ask when they refer people  . But i will stay helpful as i am but i need to help people who know how to work the site instead of noobs who don't know of trust points , another reason i made this for that part . How are noobs who need help going to know what or how to give trust point? Which brings us back to who's asking for trust points. Hahahaha , You  see what i mean now , or i lost you i bet. 

PokeNerdGringo : If you mean 'newbies' by ''noobs'', then of course they can't know. They don't have access to the system.

You also can't blindly accuse people (in general) for asking for TP, when you don't even know them/ if they even did. When someone can really count on another one, they might give the other person TP, while they might have done 'nothing out of the ordinary'. It's not only work that 'pays off', there's also mental value for each other. 

Finally, when you refer someone, that person is a newbie  (powerlevel). They wouldn't be able to give TP right away.

Although I do agree that the system has its bad points, you can't know if they abused it without being a part of it.

i have an open mind and can ask or question anything i can , i make threads in worthless places to try an have open thought . Don't mind an enlightened person that notices things nobody has TP open it seems either im a member not a "noob" and still can't , can't give my bud that helped ME with TP now ain't that messed up , im just gunna quit worrying about these things , obviously  funnyfurrets a funny sheeple , chunk deuce homie . 

PokeNerdGringo : To add on to what FF said, when you refer somebody, they can't give Trust Points to ANYBODY until they become a trusted member. First, they have to become a regular member and then get 5 Trust points before they can give or take trust points. So even if they did refer somebody just to get points, they would have to wait a while, I had to wait more than 3 months before I was allowed to give or take TP.

zander is right though, you will never be able to give TP until you're trusted+. It would be a broken system if anyone could use it.

Which is another point. IF you become trusted+, and you then lose your 'position', you won't be able to give out TP anymore.

It is absolutely true that the Trust Point system does get abused by some users. I have no doubt that there are users that ask via private chat. There are some people who register a membership on the site, happen to be friends in real life with Trusted Members, so that is basically free Trust Points for them. It happens. But just because someone has a lot doesn't mean they asked for it. I have 22, for example, and I never once asked anyone. It is good that you aren't doing that either. But you are expecting to get Trust Points for being helpful here and there, and you have only been registered for 11 days. If you do it the honest way, it will take a long time. It isn't just a matter of answering people's questions and whatnot. A big part of it is becoming more well known around the site. You have been registered for 11 days, made only 14 posts, and have spent only 41 minutes in chat. Your name is not exactly well known around here yet. I didn't get my first Trust Point until about 3 months of being very active on the site. I didn't become a Trusted Member until about a year. If you do it honestly, it takes a long time. But you are right that the system does get abused on occasion. At times, Trust Points can somewhat be turned into a popularity contest, sad to say.
