This is very hard to explain, so please bear with me. Basically this society is mostly based on seeking pleasure, its something we're all entangled in, why are we gamers? It's because we are all looking for pleasure of some form. But sometimes I feel like I wake up from a daze, and the search of pleasure seems pointless. It's really scary, I feel kind of like I'm dying. The world suddenly seems so big, I start to fully realise things that everyone knows but never thinks about , like that there are other people in the world. Most people know this but suddenly it dawns on me that there are other people in this world, each with a different viewpoint, both physical and emotional. Over 5 billion viewpoints swimming in this gigantic world. It gives me feel paradoxical fear, both the idea of living for eternity and death scare me.

Sorry for this rant, I got carried away, but three's almost no way to describe this, but has anyone else felt something similar?

Something similar, maybe.

Before, I would always think that life's a story and I'm the main character or whatever. But then I would come to a realization that, while I do have my own set of viewpoint, so does everyone else. Then I'd realize that this life isn't my story. I'm not the main character. I would realize that there is no main character at all. Instead, everyone is a minor character.

Where does a story without main characters go?

It still scares me today, when I think of it like that. That's why I try not to. Ignorance is bliss, after all.

This is nice to see some people recognizing there is more in the world and not just them and their lives and their own view points.  You can know try to learn about yourself and see how you fit in the bigger picture.
I work for a non profit helping other people because i realize I (a) am able to help other people and put my skills, intelligence, and talents to good use and (b) other people need help.  Everyone needs a helping hand every now and then and little gives me as much satisfaction as knowing I helped someone.

You can be intimidated and afraid because of the enormity of the world, the universe, and the feeling of insignificance.  Or you can help other people and put a meaning to your life.  No one will read about me in the history books and I'll never have a building or city or spaceship named after me.  But I know I have bettered people's lives.

What more can a person want?

Try volunteering and helping others.  It will bring the size and scariness of the world down a few notches and make it manageable.  You'll be okay.
