I think I very small annual fee is reasonable. Especially to keep the games going. Considering how much bandwidth is used to host them.

For $3-4 I would definitely stay.

To be honest I wouldn't pay because I don't use the games. Maybe charge a fee to the people who want to play games that sounds more fair.

Also there would have to be a disclaimer mentioning that what people are paying for is bandwidth not the games themselves or that could land vizzed in legal issues.

Maybe Vizzed could offer people the ability to pay with Viz for memberships. $4 = 4000 Viz is pretty cheap.

Paypal would be the payment system used most likely.

Only real problem with doing this would be visitors. Lots will leave when they discover they must pay money to play it.

You would definitely also see an astronomical drop in activity here if in order to even post you would still have to pay. I'm not sure what we would happen with me. I haven't been with the place for long. Well left me rephrase that- I haven't been active here for a long time yet. Paying so soon would make me feel like I'm wasting money. I think what might happen is that so many people would stop coming and thus greatly reducing the amount of activity. There wouldn't be much going on at all and the board would feel dead. I would immediately bail out.

If I was here for a long time I would develop an attachment the site and I would be on here for a while before pulling the plug on my self.

I think you'd find more people willing to pay a very small fee than you think. Not to use the forums of course.... but to use the games.

You should check out SomethingAwful, one of the internets biggest forums and yes, it's pay to post. Albeit a one time payment.

Another place I know of that charges to post is Experts Exchange but it's worth the money if you want really good advice for stuff, like yahoo answers without all the spammers who don't answer your questions.

David will be charging money on his "invention" he has and is going to implement it soon but it has nothing to do with paying fee's for any of the games you see in the RGR. But it is gaming related that is all I can say

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
