Didn't get any response on the first After Apocalypse, but I really enjoy writing it, so here. Want the first entry? Here:

It's lights out for most of the people at Haven. Except for the guards. It sucks to have the night shift. I've only gotten it once; with the Sun blocked out, it gets really cold at night. It's even harder to see the undead threat that menaces us. I almost fell to
sleep on the job. Twice. But the constant growls of the infected in the distance kept me awake. Every so often, you'd hear the guttural screams of people getting eaten alive. Sometimes, it even seems those creatures, those things, are watching us. Waiting. It's a harsh and brutal life, but at least I'm not dead. Or worse; one of those wretched monsters that wish only to purge the planet of all life. All this negative thinking is really getting to me. I think I'm going to call it a night.

There was alarm at the gates this morning; I'm still not sure why. The guards were on high alert and our makeshift government was hush hush about anything abnormal that happened. There are sounds coming from the gate. Human sounds. And not raspy or menacing like one of the creatures. A honest to God human might be out there. I'm risking it. Tonight, under the guise of the dark, I'm going to check what's outside the gate. Oh and Tom, if you're reading this and contemplating whether or not to tell the authorities, remember that I know about the time you had a fresh pig all to yourself without reporting it to the Dining Hall. You rat.

I woke up extra early today to report my findings in my journal. I was only at the gates briefly, and I saw a ragged, beaten man. He certainly didn't look like one of those creatures, but I didn't see him very well, either. Looks like I'll have to investigate. I'm heading off to the Governor's office; I'll report my information in a little bit.

I learned a lot on my little trip to the Governor. You don't need an appointment to visit an authority of any kind nowadays. Just walk right in and state your issues. In my opinion, the Governor is a kind man, and he gave the situation to me straight. The man outside was being protected the last few days, as they took a test to see if he was contaminated and would turn into one of the creatures. He was clean, so we're bringing him in. This is unbelievable news! A new survivor being integrated into Haven is unheard of! Now, we know there are other survivors out there. We can reach out to them, reclaim what has been lost to the foul beings that lie in the dark of every corner! I'm going to
sleep, happy with my findings. Also, my first scavenging trip starts tomorrow. My first chance to experience the outside world since After Apocalypse. Oh joy.
