I've noticed this thread on the New Posts page for the past couple days so I figured I'd reply.

No, I would not smoke weed if it was legal because I used to smoke it when I was younger and it got me into a lot of trouble; besides that it's against my believes nowadays. I posted a long time ago my story of being a drug addict and how I was delivered through faith in Christ if you want to read it:

I use cannabis, though not frequently. Once or twice, I'll usually smoke some. It helps to relieve stress.

I'm completely okay with anyone who doesn't want to smoke cannabis. That's your choice and I respect it, and I will fight to the death to defend your right to make that choice. However, I'm going to be irritated if you try to tell me, through personal means or through legislation, that I can't intake a substance that does not harm or affect you in any way.

And I'm going to agree with those in this thread who mentioned that it isn't addictive. The only people who are addicted to weed are the same kind of people who get addicted to video games, chocolate, or other substances or behaviors, because they have weak minds and don't have the mental capacity to stop doing something that is destructive to them. I'm not saying that cannabis is destructive, I am saying that a dependency on cannabis is destructive. Hold the person responsible for their behavior, don't blame the plant.
