I still wouldn't do weed even if it was legal...... it  is too addictive, it hurts you and can ruin your life!!


Anyways.... whether these drugs should be legal or not, I guess that is not really for us to say really..... but I personally don't think that people that does weed deserves to be treated like criminals because I mean it is not like that they've murdered someone or anything like that..... I don't really care about people doing weed since I am not judgemental!!

I don't know. I used to do it when I could care less if it was illegal or not at one point so why should it matter to me if it should suddenly be legal.  I doubt I would start again.

I can tell you though in perspective. It was not that addictive. There are worse drugs out there. Doing pot a few times is not likely to ruin your life but don't mess with it. It is psychoactive stuff. If you are not aware of what you get and how much your brain can handle it , it can be a pretty scary experience. But it is not the same as smack or speed, far from it. You are far more likely to get addicted or just as likely to drinking a six pack after work.  And  lot likelier to smoke cigarettes (since they have some of the same addictive chemical as heroin does.)

But I am not going to tell you either that "ganjas not harmful to ya mon" either.  I have seen people who cant get their butts out of bed without rolling a joint. You turn in time a lazy, bedridden aphatetic paranoid. But then again, so you do if you are an alcoholic. Just in a different way.

As for it being a gateway drug. Sure. If it is illegal, you are bound to hang out with people who sell drugs. Some of them might have other kinds of drugs too. See where I am getting at? You don't buy meth or crack at a liqourstore.

And yes, I have done drugs at one point in my life. And no, I am not a "survivor" of any kind. I was not saved by anybody from it, not even by myself. Or a higher power. I just quit.  But there is nothing I want to brag or boast about it either. Personally I have no opinion to either way if Mary Jane should be legal or not.

No, I would even not do it once because my cousin did it and now he's hooked.

No, I would never do weed. There's a history of addiction on both sides of my family so even if it was legal I don't think I would touch it.

Nope. I will never do any drugs. I probably won't even drink alcohol. I don't even like over the counter medicine. I like to have full control of my body at all times and not have some substance affecting me.

yes, I think I would, I already imbibe my fair share of alcohol, being 24, which is already a pretty serious drug. If weed became legal, I don't see the problem with doing it. No more than I see a problem with alcohol, or caffeine for that matter, marijuana is a very mild drug.

that said, both drugs are things that need to be taken seriously, done in moderation, and should be restricted from kids. It's adult entertainment.

I would never even consider it for half a second aside from reading this post. I won't do drugs and I probably won't have large amounts of alcohol as an adult, because some people love to get drunk, and that is just something I will try to avoid for several reasons. I have learned and read too many facts and all of the bad effects that these drugs can have on your body and it just isn't worth it for me. So that is why I am just going to avoid drugs altogether.

Personally, no. But I read a lot of posts here saying "wouldn't touch that stuff" and a lot of talk about it ruins your life. That isn't my attitude about it. Non-tampered weed is less addictive than cigarettes and alcohol. Dealers often add addictive chemical to it to get customers hooked. But just plain marijuana is not really that bad. Yes, you can get hooked on to it. More so if you have an addictive personality. But legal cigarettes and alcohol chemically mae you more dependent on the product that pot does. THAT is proven. It is speculated as a gateway drug. But is it really the drug that is the gateway? I don't think so. I think the gateway was doing something illegal that wasn't hardcore. The 'petty crime'. The legality aspect of it held the more major appeal. Like how alcohol has more appeal to teenagers when they can't have it. That is just my opinion on it.

I have never tried weed and I'm 32.  If it were legal, I'd probably give it a go to see what it was like.  I'm not intimidated or afraid of new things and I like to drink alcohol.  I don't know a lot of people who have had their lives destroyed by weed.  I have friends who use it socially and for fun and they don't do heavier drugs and they have successful lives.  It's doing it in moderation.  I don't have an addictive personality and I bet I would smoke, try it, enjoy it, and keep things moving.

There's very little that I do that I put ahead of my current life goals: Family, career, safety.

I don't think weed would get me off that track.

Personally no. I've tried it in my life and I don't like the effect it has on me (knocks me out every time within 5 minutes). I see all you kids say I will never do this it a good thought but you can never say never.

No..I would not do weed if it was legal....it will ruin your life forever. I think it shouldn't be legal anyway.

Well, an police officer came to our school talking about how he was a drug addict. He started with heroine and he took an amount every day. He tried other drugs too and ruined his life. If people see someone who was doing drugs then they will not accept them easily in their community. He also told us about the negative effects like every part of your body hurs unless you get another dose. He also stole money from his mother.
Also people here think every American does drugs ( it's a stereotype ).

Personally i do smoke weed on rare occasions, I feel like i need to respond to a few things though to clarify my thoughts

Weed will ruin your life!
Weed alone won't ruin your life, It's probably a lot healthier than smoking or drinking alcohol. The real matter is self control. As essentially a recreational smoker of Cannabis it does me no harm, and doesn't really affect my mood or my ability to make rational thoughts.. It just makes me a bit peckish at times. BUT i have essentially lost my best friend to psychosis thanks to cannabis.. He isn't violent or crazy, He just doesn't have any skills to be able to cope with society.. He can barely string two words together and doesn't even recognise me.

Now this is a decent statement.. Most people who smoke weed on a regular basis will probably be asked at some point if they want to take "harder" drugs. I assume this is because the dealer can make more of a profit if you take two drugs rather than one.. And usually "harder" drugs are very expensive.. Yet again it falls down to self control though.

Weed isn't all bad.
Weed can be used in medical science to perhaps ease the life of people with certain health conditions. Of course the dose is monitored so it never really should cause a huge problem.

Also I'm not saying people should try weed, i just wanted to get across a point that most things in life can go badly if you don't have good self control...
