So, I decided to start one of those blog things that I have been hearing about lately. I named it after my group, and I will be talking about stuff that goes on either with my group or not.
03/01/2014 Non-Stop/I Hate My Friends
I was spending the week in Florida for my internship, and I planned on staying there after the internship ended for Spring Break. It turns out that I did not ave enough money to do that, so I had to fly back to New York and I made it back Friday afternoon. To celebrate, my group decided to go with me to see Non-Stop, a movie that I have been waiting months to see.
There are three members of the group currently, aside from me, there is also Red and Min. For the movie, Min brought one of his friends from school. The first strange thing that happened on that day took place once we made it to the theatre. I bought 4 tickets at the AMC theatre and the lady at the counter could not give me the points that she was supposed to for a purchase. This isn't really that big, but if she did give us the points, each of us would have been able to get a free Large soda and a free refill. Not just that, she gave us the ticket for the wrong showtime. We bought tickets for the movie that was playing at 11:15, but she gave us tickets for the movie that had ended already, but there were no problems with that.
So, we go up to the third floor which is where our theatre was and Red had to use the bathroom, so he went one more flight up. After a few minutes of waiting, we all realized that we had to use the bathroom as well and we went up. As I was getting off the escalator, I turn to my left to walk towards the bathroom and I see Red coming out of the doorway directly in front of the escalator. I thought to myself, "I could have sworn the bathroom was over that way." So, I look up, and sure enough, Red was in the Woman's Bathroom.
Apparently, Red had no clue, he went in to wash his hands and had no idea where he was until we told him.
Anyways, the movie was 100% brilliant. Each time I saw the trailer for the movie I nearly cried because the trailer looked awesome! Then the movie came. I was so excited for this movie, and I loved the trailer so much, that I was waiting for the movies trailer to come up before the movie. It took m about 5 minutes to realize that this was not going to happen since this was the movie.
The movie was spectacular, there were so many dramatic and action packed scenes, there were some scenes with beautiful special effects, and yes, there may have been one or two scenes where I cried. I was so glad that i saw the movie because it was so much better that what I thought it would look like from the trailer.
Anyway, as for my friends. Yeah. I don't like them. On Friday, when I landed, I had to pick up some stuff so I went to target and I asked if they would like to come. I got my stuff and I bought some snacks for everybody to have, Pringles, cookies, Powerade, and more. Red didn't get any because he didn't really like it so he complained that he was hungry. So I took him to this stand to get a sandwich and Min starts complaining as to why he didn't get anything, even after he ate his snacks, as well as Red's.
Then, when we went to the movie, he wouldn't talk to me for over an hour because I didn't buy him a soda and when it was time for dinner, I couldn't even sit with them because I didn't help them pay for their food.
Well, that's about it for the first part of the blog. I hope I did a good job with it and that you guys liked parts of it.
