I wish I logged on more often, but my computer is having some issue and google is unhelpful so I figured why not check here in case anyone has any ideas.

Whenever I turn my laptop on, it always gives me the option of opening in Safe Mode or Load Windows Normally. If I choose Load Normally, it mostly loads, then goes to a black screen that shows the mouse and nothing else. I hold the power button to turn it off and try again. Same problem.

So I tried loading in Safe Mode. It listed a bunch of system32 files while loading, then went to the familiar black screen with white mouse pointer and nothing else. Since Safe Mode won't load, I'm out of ideas.

Any thoughts on what's happening and how to fix it?

As Shadow suggests, try to leave it to load for a bit before powering it off.

Safe mode also can take much longer to start than a normal boot-up.

If all else fails, you can always do a fresh install.
