If you had one RPG to play, for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Final Fantasy 8 or 9.  Or, maybe, Grandia.

I would select Dragon Warrior III for the NES.  The game had great depth, introduced night and day from a combat and town activity standpoint, had two worlds to explore and was many hours of fun.  It allowed for creativity in characters and you could name them after your friends or romances.  When I can pick my friends to be warriors, mages, clerics, whatever, I get more engaged vs. seeing a story played out that has characters of others' creation.  My friends have their back story and they add to the tale just being a part of the legend.

The weapons were great, the bosses great, the story was good.  If you're an RPG person, pick up the old school Dragon Warrior III.  Enjoy!

This is a hard question.  Do MMORPGs count?

If they do then I'd pick World of Warcraft but if they don't then I'd pick an RPG game with a lot of side quests and such.  Maybe Oblivion from the Elder Scrolls franchise.  Although Earthbound wouldn't be bad either.  That is a pretty long game.

This is pretty hard question, I would pick one of the Final fantasies, Legend of Legaia or Grandia.
It's very hard to choose just one game.

WOW, that's a hard one!  I've actually been looking at this thread for about an hour before coming to a decision.  After considering all my options, I finally decided on Fallout 2.  I chose Fallout 2 because it has so many different ways that it can be played, and its one of the few RPGs that I've ever played that I can come back to again and again without getting tired of it.

Runners up would have been Arcanum, Final Fantasy (Yes the first one), and Fallout: New Vegas.  (In that order.)

As an obsessive RPGer, putting me in a position where I would have to make this decision would likely result in severe depression, . . . . You can take away every other game that I own, but PLEASE never take away even the worst of my RPGs!

If I had to pick any, I would have to go with Final Fantasy 7. That one has always been my favorite out of the bunch. Everything about that game is simply amazing.
