For security reasons, I'm not using real names.
Everything that's in blue is real.
"Come on, you can do it!" my friends said. "Get him out!" As I took a breath, I prepared myself to shoot the ball and get it in. I got into position and the ball flew out of my hands. It made it in the basket. The other person got out and mumbled a curse word. "Yeah!" the growing crowd screamed.
We were playing Knockout, a basketball game where two or more players try to get each other "out" by making a basket before the other player.
There were at least 30 people playing today, so it was a big game. Mess up at the beginning and get laughed out. People are crazy for this game.
As several minutes pass by, I keep getting other people out. Soon, it was down to five people. They're really good, and they always win. But I got most of them out.
It was me and this other kid, Steven. He was amazing. My friend, Will (billybobboy31254) said, "If Steven doesn't make the shot but you do, you win the game!" Steven didn't make it. With all my might, I made the ball go around the rim, but Steven was about to shoot. But it was already in. "You won!" Will screamed. I ran across the gym and kept screaming, "Yes!" The crowd was amazed. I don't really play basketball, so for me to be better than people who practice all their lives is amazing.
I won. I won.
