Originally you cant catch Scyther in Emerald, but the games name is Catch em all, so I guess you can get Scyther by trading it with some random NPC (non-player character) or from a Safari Zone?? Can't really help more, sorry. :/ And if you want to evolve Scyther in to Scizor you need to find Metal coat and give it to Scyther and then wait for it to get some levels and in time it will evolve. Normally it will evolve by trading Scyther who has metal coat.
