Oh my god... I am absolutely awful. Okay, so yesterday I asked my brother if he had even seen "The castle episode" of MLP and he replied "No." with a confused look on his face. That is when I realized that my brother has only seen the season premiere so far and my heart sank.... I mean sure I was at my grandmothers for a month but dude! I hadn't watched any of the season with my 5 year old bro(ny.)! What is wrong with me?! (See?! I am just absolutely awful... Didn't even watch MLP with my little bro who watched the show with me since episode one.. What is wrong with me?)

So I started up "Castle Mane-ia" on Youtube for the Xbox. (Thank you Vanelan: for the Xbox live gold.) and I started watching the episode with my brother. Then something hit me that I partially overlooked and forgot when the episode came up. The "star spiders". What is their story? Where do they come from? It got me thinking, there is still some stuff that they have yet to explain in the season so far and I wonder how much this has to play with the rest of the season, so it makes me wonder, what's up with these things, do they have more to them that meets the eye? If so what is it? Let's move on for now.

And the final SS is Star Swirl the bearded, just bear with me. There is still a lot of unexplained things in the Castle Mane-ia, like the picture with the moving eyes for one example, or how about the shadow with the glowing yellow eyes at the end of the episode? I mean it could be that the Star Spiders cause weird things to happen for whatever reason, as if they have some magical power, I mean they live right next to the Tree of Harmony, it's totally possible is it not? But why do they have a Star on their abdomens? Why a star of all things? Almost as if the star itself means something to the plot. But that only explains the painting, what about the shadow?

Trixie, she is suspect number one, they eye color is not right but that doesn't really matter, everything evil has yellow or red eyes, we all know that right? I don't know, Zecora is also very possible but why would she have that hat? And why would she even be there? The only thing that adds up is eye shape and color and the fact that she lives remotely nearby. But who else has a wizards hat and is linked to ancient castles? Why Star Swirl the Bearded of course, and it may be possible that the myth of the castle being haunted may have a little bit of truth behind it, isn't it at least possible?

So what is up with these Star Spiders and Star Swirl? We don't even know what happened to him, it could be anything, I mean at this point it is only a small hunch, but are these spiders the embodiment of Star Swirl or at least his magical prowess? I wonder if any of this could be linked to the box.... I mean out of every location in the show this place is the closet to the Tree of Harmony which bear the Elements of Harmony as well as "the box." What is in that little tiny box? What does it have to do with that castle? I have a hunch that something major is going to be happening with that castle this season, but the only question is what.

I mean, it sure is convenient for a newly crowned princess to have a castle so close to home isn't it? But this is all theory at this point until proven otherwise, but I would gladly talk to anyone even remotely interested in this post, I have already gone on for a little bit with my theory and I wouldn't even mind going on some more, but I will go ahead and spare you, if I analyze this on my own 100% it can be badly biased and only have a few view points max, not to mention that ruins the fun for everyone else.

Interesting theory there. But I don't think the Star Spiders are all that related to anything. Maybe Star Swirl discovered the star spiders?

And with Castle Mane-ia, that seems to be a fountain of theories. The picture with moving eyes is a staple in the spooky episode that almost every cartoon has. (I've always been a sucker for the "Stay in the spooky place and whoever leaves last wins" plot though :3) Anyways, moving on, it DOES look like both Trixie, and Star Swirl. But, I think you're overthinking it a bit. Possibly it's the "Pony of Shadows" that Applejack was talking about. And, if it is, there's going to be an awesome battle sometime soon! It was thrown in to kind give us a "Oh there really was something horrifying" moment. And, having a physical incarnation of the rage of Nightmare Moon very likely still stalking a castle near Ponyville that the ponies seem to hang out more and more in...Yeah, something is definitely up.
