Hey, new to the forum but not the emulator, but I just switched to a computer with windows 8. Everything was working fine until today when i opened the emulator and chrome crashed. Every time i open it my browser crashes! Please help me!

Hmm, It might just be chrome.. it gives trouble with different things and different users at times. I would try to uninstall it then reinstall it and if that doesn't work try to download FireFox.. I hope these methods work for you.. this happened to me a while back and I tried both of these and they seemed to fix the problem for me.

Just a note but windows 8 isn't 100% compatible with plugin it can work sometimes it won't.

But to get it to work the solution in plugin thread said to open IE from desktop instead of metro app screen.
So by that I am assuming it only works in IE.

So I reopened Chrome in desktop mode and the emulator's fine now... So I guess it's just incompatible with Chrome in Windows 8 mode. Well, anyway, problem solved! Thanks for the help!

Bintsy : Most users have the best luck with either Chrome or Firefox. I personally have the best luck with Firefox. So chrome wouldn't be the problem here...
