Well, the 2014 Winter Olympics are now over with and Russia has ended up winning this Olympics by getting 33, with the United States in 2nd with 28 and Norway in 3rd with 26. So I do kinda expect Team Russia winning this year's Olympics.

Well, anyways, I'm going to keep this thread up and sticky'd until after the Paralympics are over with on March 16th.

I was not surprised of the 4 countries that were in the top 4. Russia, America, Norway, and Canada. Those 4 countries really do good in the Olympics.  I was glad to see America come in second though. I kind prefer the Winter Olympics over the Summer Olympics.

I can't help but laugh at the American medal count rankings versus basically everyone else.

You don't count total medals, you count gold, then silver, then bronze and rank accordingly. If you look at any American news site their count goes by total but if you look outside you see the other system which values gold higher than silver or bronze in overall value.

Also, another Canadian sweep of the hockey gold medals. Felt SO good to watch the Americans lose 5-0 to Finland. Way to give up!

One guy didn't get picked for korea's speedskating team so his dad told russia that he wanted to join. He got 2 medals.
And the other guy is from the U.S and his wife is russian so he competed for russia with her. He got 2 medals.
