Hello, everybody, NintendoFanKimmy here, and this time I bring you a thread revolving around my personal opinion on 'escalation' in general. I do not know why, but I never really liked the idea of things 'going up'. Things increasing in rank. Things changing... For me, anyway. I, for some reason, do not favor the idea of myself rising in rank or importance in any way. The answer? I honestly don't know. Also, I am not a huge fan of this dreadful 'growing up' business. More responsibilities, more difficult social life, and a change in personality, as well. For better or for worse is something I have yet to discover. I guess I don't like the idea of some things escalating because of the fact you can not change them back. Even in cases that are reversible, though, change is not something I like. I find it simpler for people and things to stay the way they are, unless it is not good, rather than 'go up'. I always enjoyed being inferior in every way for some reason, including my rank here on Vizzed. Somehow, I preferred being a normal Member to a Trusted Member... Not that it bothers me, but I enjoy looking up to people, and not down. I am weird, I guess. Even when my Pokemon evolve, for example. I always regret not pressing the 'B' button. 'Why couldn't I have just kept you the simple, cute, little thing you were before?' I ask myself. The form of escalation I despise the most is in human society. Not in all aspects, but in some. Advances in technology are great, I find (usually), but the world is changing for the worst overall. Pollution, consumption of nonrenewable resources etc. Oh, well. I just find the idea of rising overrated, that's all... NintendoFanKimmy, out! (Me, thinking after writing this thread: what did I just post? ...)

I think it's natural to fear the changes caused by time. I can't believe that I'm about to turn eighteen in a few months. I've always thought about adulthood as something so far off that it's unimaginable. Right now I can't even imagine how it would be like to be 30+.

You're at a time in your life where you'll find more kids (both younger and older) that will look up to you. It's scary, yes, but you will learn to handle situations and be someone that others want to look up to.

In essence, change is hard. But that doesn't mean that you will have to change. In fact, I'm the same kid inside that I was when I was 12. I love to play Mario, sports, and still make jokes too.

I think from the fact that you've made this excellent thread and even your thoughts, show that you're much wiser than you think you are. In fact, as Dante Alighieri aptly put "The wisest are the most annoyed at the loss of time".

I enjoy reading your threads and hope you keep posting them!

Yes I fear stuff like growing up.. I can't imagine one day when I will be 30 or 40 it just makes me shiver because I really don't want to grow up that fast. I want to live a long and full filling life.

A lot of things change yes you may even change there is parts of you that will stay with your heart forever though. Like for instance I still love playing my Super Nintendo and all the games along with it. I love watching all my favorite cartoons as well.

Don't worry to much about it once you get older you will see changes yes but you will learn not to fear them as much as they seem.
