Now i am sure a bunch of you will see this as a stupid question but i have a curious mind.
I was looking at my profile and i saw that i have a post rating of 2. What exactly is a post rating? I know it means people rate a post but who decides if your post can get a good rating? Is it somebody with power on vizzed such as mods? Or is it trusted members that decide? I was looking over some other peoples profile and i noticed that one person had a post rating of -1.
What kind of post can get a rating? Is it a thread that you start or something you said in a forum that gets rated? Can one person vote that you get a good post rating or do multiple people have 2 vote for you to get one post rating? I have insomnia and i have been up for a little over 30 hours now and i tend 2 think of stupid questions when i am up for a long time. lol

No no! This isn't a stupid question! When I first came back to vizzed I also wondered about it and had to ask around but basically what it is, any member can rate a post, I think newbies can to but I am not quite sure.. I know that normal members can rate about 4-5 posts a day trusted members can rate about 8 a day and so on up. If you dislike a post it takes up 4 points instead of just 1 for that day so if you were a newbie or normal member that would be your only thing for that day was 1 dislike. It's a system that separates most of the good threads from just regular or bad threads. It's really quite handy and you can even earn vizz and contribution points!

1. Post rating is a new feature that determines the quality of your posts made on the boards. They can be positive or negative.

2. Anyone can rate posts. There's just a limit on what type of member can rate how many times per day. Check this out for more information.

3. You can get negative post ratings as well as positive. If you see a member with a negative number post ratings, then it means that the person's posts are most likely not good quality.

4. Any kind of posts can get a rating. A thread or post made will have the option to be rated by other members.

5. One person = one post rating.
