I was going to post this in the Television forum, but I figured it would be more appreciated here.

I'm not sure if many of you know this, but the Actor whom Played "Uncle Phil" in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and the voice of "Shredder" in the original TMNT cartoon died on New Years eve due to complications to open heart surgery he had in November. He was 68 years old.

He will be greatly missed. Fresh Prince of Bel Air and TMNT are two of my very favorite shows and childhood memories growing up.

I used to watch those shows when I was a kid too. Ah, the good times when I could watch TV and get some enjoyment, when I could make my day with great shows. Sad fate for this great actor. R.I.P James Avery. You'll miss us but we'll keep forever in our mind those good times.
