I have tried to go on a big post spree before, I once spent all day posting, but then I look at the post spree someone else is on. and it just baffles me.... I love that word. I may just think too hard on each and every post, but how do people do huge posts, especially during the Tour, I mean, look at the current Blue Jersey scores, I do not think I can post this often in a month!

Hmm... probably by doing reviews, tutorials about different things,constructive explanations and advice... those are some of the kinds of posts that need huge paragraphs.

I've found out that many users on here are extremely fast typers and can do more than 20 posts per hour, so it's only a few of these hours that lead them to have an incredibly high number of posts. I'm sure that long-time members know all the tricks-of-the-trade when it comes to where are the fastest posts. I'm also really picky about where I post, but I'm sure that this inhibition goes away after some time.

thelastrequim : I used to try to post every day like this in the last tdv but I learned my lesson that it gets stressful. The best way is to wait a day or two and do regular posting so the boards can fill up, and then you go on a spree.

Big post spree? You should just do loads of reviews! However, reviews do take a while to do if your writing a massive and detailed one...but they feel rewarding.

thelastrequim : Most of the people who go on post sprees for TdV are essentially spamming. Technically, they aren't by site rules. But most of their posts, they come up with the most generic and non specific things to say so they can make long posts without much thought. Simple as that.

For those who tend to make super long posts, a SMALL fraction are just fast typers. But the majority of them spend the month before TdV going through threads and pretyping responses on Word or something else. Then they can just copy/paste a bunch of larger posts from where ever they pre-typed it so they can get a bunch in a small amount of time. That is why a few people who are super active during TdV are significantly less active than normal the month before. They are prepping posts during that month.

...But anyways, these sprees are possible by the power of spamming. The most you can really get without spamming is around 100 posts. People like... nah, I'm not gonna name anyone.

Like rcarter2 said, it's mostly spam.

They make as many crappy 30 wordish posts as they can, and that's not difficult.

If you type even 60wpm (not fast) then it's pretty easy to make 3 posts in 2 minutes. This translates out to 90 posts in an hour.

Essentially, posters seem to turn their brain off and type whatever the hell they want, and call it a post. This is how these 200+ post days are generally possible.

I'm not saying it's impossible to hit 200+ and NOT spam, it's just more difficult and time consuming.

I would say the most amount of posts anyone can make in a day, if they are being thoughtful and genuine with each post, and giving each post the amount of time it deserves, is probably between 300-400, depending on your typing speed. However, this all but requires you to be posting for 18 hours of the day, or more. Which is more than is reasonable.

tl;dr - It isn't possible within the rules of the site unless you are superhuman, and none of the recent spreers are superhuman. They are pretty much all spamming.

I know all everyone's saying is for you to make reviews, but I'm prepared to give you a different piece of advice that works wonders for me! Write stories. Big, long stories! I'm making one now on Word and posting it chapter by chapter on Vizzed, and it really helps! I keep each chapter one page long, use font 12 for the title I put on the top of every chapter, font 10 for the chapter title, and font 8.5 for the chapter itself. Good luck!
