ok so the files are stored in my comp as files i can open them and have no idea how to begin is there any tutorials that can teach me the basics or maybe give me some advice id love to create my own game and am craving your input thankyou for reading

I think (not positive on this) that you have to follow a certain naming scheme with your files. And IIRC images have to be either .bmp or .png in 256 colors. If they're named correctly and everything they should automatically show up in the program.

I'm on a different computer right now so I can't go check... will come back later and explain better!

As for programming events and such... well, I'm not the best person to ask. ; But if you have anything specific I'll try to help you figure it out. (Maybe we can learn together?)
