"It's too bad she won't live, but then again, who does?" -Gaff from Blade Runner.
If you remember my birthday thread, you might be familiar with me talking about the similarities between Mega Man X and Blade Runner. If you are not, and if you are curious, here is something that you should catch up with.
In Blade Runner, there are people named Blade Runners who hunt down human-like machines called Replicants. They hunt down Replicants because they were declared extremely dangerous. The main character, Deckard, is a retired cop turned Blade Runner and has to hunt down 3 or 4 replicants. (Can't remember the exact number.) Along the way, Deckard falls in love with a replicant named Racheal.
Now in Mega Man X, there are people named Maverick Hunters who hunt down machines with human-like capabilities called Reploids. They hunt down Reploids because they gone Maverick and caused destruction. The main characters, X and Zero, are Maverick Hunters, and they have to hunt down 8 reploids. Along the way, Zero falls in love with a reploid named Iris.
Sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it? That is because the series creator drew inspiration from Blade Runner while making Mega Man X. All in all, I think this is incredibly interesting.

Another similarity is that Racheal from Blade Runner may die after the events of Blade Runner Final Cut, and Iris died in Mega Man X4, although that similarity is what I call loose.
