I know Pirates Of the Caribbean ( duh ) did it . They had 4 movies ... anyone got anymore ? 

This is kind of a vague question. Do you mean passed as in hit 3, or more than 3? Do you mean movies that recently passed the three movie mark, or all time? We have Spiderman, Shrek, Star Wars, James Bond, Rocky, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter

Mr. Zed : That is all that I know, but there are going to be a few movies that hit the trilogy mark in the near future such as Hunger Games and the Hobbit.

I remember Aladdin did. Quite a few Disney movies did, also. I'm not sure, but maybe Cinderella? Oh! And there's also Iron Man, right? I believe it has three movies out now, too.

The Saw movies, The Nightmare on Elmstreet movies, Jason movies, Halloween movies, TMNT movies, Paranormals, there are literally hundreds of Movie series that surpassed 3.

I know of quite a few movie series that have passed the trilogy mark, actually. They are quite common, in fact. A couple of my favorite ones include Rocky and Harry Potter. Fantastic!

Indiana Jones actually passed the trilogy mark a few years ago.

My favourite movie series Alien did. The first two were good but then the other were pretty bad. Don't watch three or four. Only watch the first two.

My favorites are Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean (which you already mentioned), and the Twilight Saga.

The saw movies the Halloween movies, Harry Potter. There is tons of movies out there that  pass the trilogy mark. Are you looking for something specific to watch? If so I would suggest Harry Potter and once you get a bit older the saw movies aren't bad either.. there is some nasty parts but nothing scares me so I guess if you didn't like scary movies you couldn't watch that so just stick with harry potter.

Alien is my favorite series too. I am the same about the first 2 as well.
Alien and Aliens are great, the other 2, not so much...

There is also First Blood, Die Hard, Mission Impossible, and Scary Movie to name a few.

I think that a lot of people who have posted here are not quite aware of what a trilogy is. Just because there are 2 sequels, that does not mean it is a trilogy. A trilogy is when you have three movies that tie in to one big story. Something like Indiana Jones is not a trilogy. You can watch any of the movies in any order, and it all makes sense. Same with James Bond and Nightmare on Elm Street. For Nightmare on Elm Street, you don't even have to watch the second one to understand the others. You only need to watch the 1st one to understand the 6th one and Wes Kraven's New Nightmare. The third TNMT movie only requires you to have watched the cartoon series, as it has pretty much no reference to the first two. Those movies are not trilogies. They are just a series of sequels. 

So as far as passing trilogy, meaning more than three movies that tells one overall sequential storyline, movies like Harry Potter, Twilight, and Pirates of the Caribbean have done that.

Well, I might disagree about Indiana Jones. 
While they can be watched as s separate movies, they do refer to previous movies and have recurring characters and themes.

The fast and the furious, harry potter, lord of the rings, saw, final destination just to name a few.
