The TdV has started, and I am quite the Red Jersey person. I was thinking of what to do, and I thought of it. Write a story, one every day of January, excluding the 1st. So, I'm doing it. So, I guess, here we go. Chapter 1, begin.
Brian woke up in a lab. The flourecent lights pounding into his eyes, the sound of a heart monitor beeping, going faster and faster, his head screaming with pain. Questions racing through his head, why am I here, what is happening, where was I before this happened, everything going so fast, he couldn't keep up with himself.
Think, slow down, figure it out, slow down, he thought. He looked down his body. He was in a hospital gown, and his feet were chained to the table, along with his hands. Brian wracked his mind, for his last memory. He was at his home, yeah, it was the 15th of May, he was, with someone, they were sitting there, talking about something, speaking, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what.
He tried figuring out how long he had been awake. 5, 10 minutes? He wanted to keep track of it, even if it was quite loosely. He started to count. 100, 200, 1000. Time became more and more unbearable, the constant pounding of his head, the monitor, the thoughts, it was overwhelming.
1365, 1366, 1367; a door opened. Two shadowy figure walked in.
"He's awake. Should we start now?" Figure 1 said.
"I think so," Figure 2 replied.
Brian tried to scream. He tried so very hard, but nothing came out. No sound. He start violently slamming his arms and legs against the restraints, the only sound he could make were whispers.
"We removed your vocal chords as to keep you from alerting the others. We will explain the expirement, and why you were chosen, once the expiriment is over. All you need to know is that you have to find the way out." Figure 1 told Brian
Confusion, panic, fear, and anger all rushed through him. "Why me, why am I here, why is this happening," Suddenly, everything was spinning, everything going black, everything going black, everthing going black, darkness, and then silence.
He woke up. Still in the room, the figures staring at him.
"5 minutes, 32 seconds. That's got to be a record," the first figure said.
Brian once again attempted to yell, but still all that came out was air. "I'm dreaming, they aren't real, this can't be real," Brian thought to himself. The first Figure pulled out a needle, filled halfway with a purple liquid. Brian tried to pull his arm away in vain.
"The more you struggle, the more it will hurt. Find your way out," the second figure said. He injected the liquid into Brian's arm. They walked out of the room, and his head started pounding more and more. The lights got brighter, he started feeling like he was before. The darkness, it took his vision, his hearing, and took him under.
